Nippon Steel to invest up to $2.5 billion in US Steel
On 2026-06-12, Nippon Steel Corporation said it plans to invest up to US$2.5 billion in US Steel Corporation's operations in Pennsylvania over the next three years. The company said the spending will support a new hot strip mill at Mon Valley Works Edgar Thomson Plant in Braddock and modernization of production for automotive and other high-value industries.
