EU countries agree to unblock accession talks with Ukraine and Moldova

On 2026-06-12, EU member states agreed in Brussels to open the first accession negotiations cluster with Ukraine and Moldova. The deal unblocks the next phase of accession talks, with the formal intergovernmental conferences scheduled for June 15 in Luxembourg.
