Privacy
OneThought is built with anti-surveillance posture. We collect only what is necessary to operate the gate-then-reveal mechanic, and we tell you exactly where it goes.
What's stored
For each submission we store: the raw response text, the city you submit from, your client IP (used only for rate limiting and coarse geo), and an anonymous session cookie. We also store derived editorial output that is generated per city, never per individual submission: a one-to-two sentence synthesis describing the city's cohort, three evocative words capturing the cohort's register, a small set of themes the cohort mentioned, and a single divergence line surfacing minority voices when present. We do not store names, emails, or accounts — there are no accounts in v0.
Retention
Raw submission text is deleted after the event window ends plus 90 days. The per-city editorial output described above is retained indefinitely as the public record OneThought is building. IP addresses are kept only as long as rate-limit windows require — at most 7 days.
Third-party processors
Once per hour, OneThought batches each city's submissions and sends them to Anthropic, PBC (the company behind the Claude family of models) for editorial synthesis. The call is made over HTTPS, server-to-server, from our hourly cron — never from your browser. The request is processed in the United States and is subject to Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Per Anthropic's commercial terms, prompts and responses are not used to train Anthropic's models. We never share submissions with advertising networks, analytics products, or any other third party.
News sourcing
News stories are sourced from GDELT, with sports stories provided in part by NewsAPI.org. Both feeds reach us server-to-server from a scheduled cron — your browser never talks to either source directly. Cards on the feed that came in via NewsAPI carry a small · NEWSAPI credit next to the publisher domain.
What we do not do
We use no third-party analytics, no tracking pixels, no Google Fonts, no advertising. Fonts are self-hosted from the OneThought origin. There are no cross-site requests on a normal page load. The Anthropic synthesis call described above happens entirely on our server, on a schedule — your browser never talks directly to Anthropic.
Deletion
To request deletion of a specific submission, email privacy@onethought.example. Include the city you submitted from and the date of submission.
