Lightning ignites wildfire northeast of Fairbanks, Alaska
On 2026-06-14, lightning ignited a wildfire northeast of Fairbanks, Alaska, known as the Clums Fire. USWFS said it was first reported around 8:30 a.m. and had grown from an estimated 75 acres to 224 acres by Saturday evening in the Steese National Conservation Area.
